The world of work is undergoing important structural changes. There are several forces transforming it, from shifting demographics, to the onward march of technology, the impact of climate change and new forms of production and employment, among others. In order to better understand and to respond more effectively to these new developments, the ILO has launched the "Centenary Initiative on the Future of Work".

Change brings new opportunities for young people but only if they have the right skills, are empowered to make decisions and have real choices in life. Investing today in youth means investing in the present as well as in the future of our societies.

So, how can youth get prepared for a transforming world of work? How do they envisage the future of work, and where do they see themselves in the uncertain future?

This page has been developed to help young people become adaptable and ready for change. It provides them with relevant information and tools to understand the future of work. It also offers youth a platform to express and share their opinions and work expectations, and it is a place where they can get the latest news related to the Future of Work Initiative.
